I don't agree with Max's take on this at all. While addon itself is 100% free, all the guides (data) are behind subscription. In entire history blizzard banned only 2 addons that allowed x-faction communication. With 9.0 blizzard didn't kill any addon, some api did changed but you have no idea what are you talking about. As for new dungeons you can collect data yourself like nogga has been doing the whole time. If blizzard tweaks placement for mobs you can tweak it in your data as well. You can throw in as much tantrums as you want but those are facts. Addon is fully functionally with the exception you don't get data about mobs.

With 9.0 Blizzard already killed a lot of add-ons and most add-ons needed a major rewrite and some functionalities are no longer available. Now now, before you start going full karen.įirst of all, there are no missing files in addon itself and you can manually add these mobs. It's one of the latest examples but there were a lot more in the past and Blizzard also said like 3 years ago that they don't tolerate add-ons that you have to pay for and that they will find ways to break these add-ons which in turn limits the things other add-ons can do in the game. For the moment you can get an older version but the moment Blizzard adds a new dungeon or tweak mob placement for a dungeon the add-on is dead.

Like Mythic Dungeon Tools, you need to be a patreon or twitch mythic subscriber to download the missing files and actually see the mobs. More and more popular add-ons require you to pay. There is nothing wrong with addon community since addon community made bucks for a looong long time.Īnd now they (we) make more money, we have much higher quality addons.Īs for addon itself I checked and didn't see that commit in files anymore so that lived shorter than couple of hours according to git commit time.More and more popular add-ons require you to pay. I think you let your imagination run wild too much.
